Projects

The Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) which sits with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has commissioned Risk & Policy Analysts (RPA), together with BWL Consulting to conduct a study to develop its evidence base for construction products. This research will review current practices across the construction products' supply chains and provide insight into how the supply chains operate. This research will form a baseline over which future research proposals, focusing on different aspects of the construction products' supply chains, are expected to be developed.

The current study focuses on a selected range of construction products, including:

  • Cables
  • Cladding
  • Fire barriers
  • Fire doors
  • Insulation

This study involves the collection of information from key stakeholders across the UK through questionnaires, interviews, focus groups and workshops.

If you would like to contribute to the current evidence collection to highlight the current state of play and to raise any concerns you may have in regard to the supply chain in relation to the construction products regulations please get in touch with Sophie Garrett (sophie.garrett@rpaltd.co.uk)
