Linda-Jean Cockcroft, Technical Director of Business, Industry & Growth, will be chairing the first two sessions at the 2016 Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment conference in London.

This is Edif ERA’s 18th annual conference on product regulation and the environment. The conference provides an opportunity to explore developments in environmental regulatory matters affecting products from consumer electronics, through industrial, medical, and defence.

Leading EU and UK policy makers, industry bodies and technical experts will discuss current issues including:

  • responsible sourcing (conflict minerals and ethical supply chain management);
  • substance restrictions and obsolescence (REACH and RoHS);
  • sustainability issues (ecodesign, energy labelling, circular economy);
  • end-of-life (WEEE and batteries), and similar requirements globally.

Sessions chaired by Linda-Jean will focus on the on-going update to the ECHA guidance on requirements for substances in articles and its consequences, and upstream authorisation applications.

Registration is required for this event; further details can be found at www.edifgroup.com/training/conference

Location: London, Hilton London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 4, Hounslow, TW6 3AF
