Pete Floyd

Dr Peter Floyd is one of the orginal co-founders and Director of RPA, with extensive experience of policy analysis across a wide range of sectors.  Prior to becoming a consultant in 1983, he was employed on safety and risk work in the oil, chemical and nuclear industries.  Since then, he has gained extensive experience in the development and application of quantitative risk/impact assessment methodologies to a wide range of projects around the world.

He has also led numerous risk/impact assessment studies for the European Commission and leads major evaluation and impact assessment framework contracts for DG Grow and DG Sante.  He has been involved with new technologies including work on nanomaterials for the UK Government, DG Environment and CEFIC (the European Chemicals Industry Association).  

He also directs a major international team which provides scientific and technical support to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Throughout his career, Dr Floyd has consistently enjoyed a reputation for producing technically robust work which is accessible to the non-specialist.
